Our successful Prime Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modi when he was the Chief Minister of our state started educational initiatives like School Entrance Festival and Kanya Kelavani Mohotsav which have achieved very good results. In order to ensure that all the girls of Gujarat complete their secondary and higher secondary education diligently along with primary education, the state government is launching the 'Namo Lakshmi' scheme. The good intention of this scheme is that no girl child of the state should be deprived of secondary and higher secondary education due to financial constraints.
With the success of campaigns like Beti Bachao - Beti Padhao, Kanya Kelvani etc., the need to strengthen the nutrition and health of adolescent girls who have entered a very critical stage along with secondary and higher secondary education today has been realized. Under the 'Namo Lakshmi' scheme, the state government has provided education and empowerment to adolescent girls studying in class 9 to 12 to provide Rs. Assistance up to 50,000 will be provided by the Govt.
We are very fortunate to have had a golden opportunity to shape Lakshmi Samana Putri Ratna's career. Let there be no hindrance in the education of the daughter and come to make her a bright career, take adequate care in her education and encourage her to go to school regularly for studies. In the future it will necessarily brighten the name of the state and the nation.
Today's generation is the future of the nation. Let's keep the saying 'Bhaneli Doktri Be Kulne Tare' meaningful, let's work together for the education of daughters and contribute to this sacrifice of nation building.

‘નમો લક્ષ્મી’ યોજના અંતર્ગત રાજ્ય સરકારે કિશોરવયની કન્યાઓને શિક્ષણ સાથે પૂરતું પોષણ મળે અને તેઓ સશક્ત બને તે હેતુસર ધોરણ ૯ થી ધોરણ ૧૨માં અàª્યાસ કરતી દીકરીઓને તેઓનો અàª્યાસ પૂર્ણ કરવા બદલ રૂા. ૫૦,૦૦૦ સુધીની સહાય સરકારશ્રી તરફથી આપવામાં આવશે.
