Do not panic, do not get nervous and don’t start learning any new topic just before the exams. Instead, keep revising and practising whatever you have studied.
Students will be evaluated on 80 marks for theory and 20 marks for practicals. According to the exam pattern, the theory paper is divided into four sections. Section A has 1 mark questions worth 20 marks with an internal choice between two questions. In section B, there are 6 questions carrying two marks each with 2 internal choices. In section C there are eight questions of three marks each with 3 internal choices. In Section D there are six questions carrying four marks each with 3 internal choices.

The maths examination had two types of paper this year: 1) The Standard Math Paper 2) Basic math paper. The Standard math paper is of the higher difficulty level and is mostly for students who want to pursue math as a subject of study in the future. However, the syllabus and pattern of both the papers are similar, according to teachers.
Introduction to Trigonometry: Learn the Trigonometric Ratios table and identities, know the properties of the right triangle, Pythagoras theorem and the relation between the sides of a right-angled triangle. Memorise the value of standard Trigonometric angles and basic formulas. Practise as many sums as you can.
Another expert, however, ,found marked difference in Basic and Standard. "Basic was easier than Standard in terms of the type of questions and the wording of the questions. Even the calculations were easier for basic while they were a little complex in Standard. What I personally did not expect was a distinction within Basic. Students who have opted for Basic would also find competition, which is a good thing!"
Practise as many questions as you can solve from CBSE previous year question papers class 10 maths with solutions to understand the question pattern, complexity level and the importance or weightage of different chapters. Practise will bring out the perfection in your answers, will make you confident, brings speed and also helps you memorize the method.
