NEET 2021 will be held this year according to the old pattern
The Central Government and the National Examination Board told the Supreme Court that the Post Graduate National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Super Specialty (NEET-SS) 2021 will be conducted as per the old pattern and the new pattern will be implemented next year.

Earlier, the National Board of Examinations had said that examinations should be avoided to get admission in super specialty courses in medical colleges across the country. The exam will now take place in January instead of November. At the same time NBC has urged the SCA to allow the new patron and give the candidates time to avoid the exam till January. The Supreme Court had objected to some students changing the pattern in the NEET-SS exam and sought cancellation of the exam. Following which the court asked the Center to consider. So now the exam will be held in January instead of November so that the students have the opportunity to prepare under the new pattern.
Asked the NBE for an answer regarding the examination pattern
An application was filed in the Supreme Court challenging the sudden last minute change made public by the NBE over the NEET-SS 2021 exam pattern. It was alleged that the question patterns of NEET-SS have been changed only to those who have masters in general medicine at the expense of another subject.
