Implementation of Continuous Professional Development ( CPD ) Courses in States / UTs
The National Education Policy ( NEP ) 2020 emphasises on the Continuous Professional Development ( CPD ) of school heads and teachers to meet the needs of enriched teaching - learning processes for quality education
. Also it has been highlighted in NEP 2020 , that each teacher school principal are expected to participate in at least 50 hours of continuous professional development activities every year for their own professional development , driven by their own interests
In this context , NCERT has developed few online courses which are being offered through DIKSHA portal and mobile app . Course details are given below . Name of the Course

The states / UTS may offer these courses in three modalities : 1. The state / UT authorities may share the course link provided by NCERT with the teachers / head teachers / teacher educators and inform them to do the course in the NCERT tenant
2. The state / UT may copy the course in the state tenant and offer the course as a state / UT course . In this case , the instructions given in Annexure- 1 may please be followed . 3. The state / UT may also translate the course in regional / state / local languages and create a new course depending on their needs . In this case , the instructions given in Annexure - 2 may please be followed . 1. All the Directors / Principals of SCERTS / SIES of all the States / UTS 2. DIKSHA is India's national digital infrastructure for school education
The DIKSHA platform offers teachers,students and parents engaging learning material relevant to the prescribed school curriculum.
Teachers have access to aids like lesson plans, worksheets and activities, to create enjoyable classroom experiences. Students understand concepts, revise lessons and do practice exercises.
Parents can follow classroom activities and clear doubts outside school hours.
