It is not necessary that the account must be in a commercial bank. If you have an account in a co-operative bank or post office and more than Rs 20 lakh is being deposited or withdrawn in it, then PAN or Aadhaar has to be mentioned.
In addition to the savings account, if a person opens a current account or a cash credit account, he will also have to abide by the Rs 20 lakh rule. This rule will also apply to new accounts. This rule will apply everywhere if a current account or cash credit is opened in a commercial bank, co-operative bank or post office. According to the rules, if a person pays Rs. If you want to transact 20 lakh or more and do not have PAN, you have to apply PAN 7 days before the transaction.
