A scheme called National Means Come Merit Scholarship (N.M.M.S) for students studying in class 8 with the aim of enabling bright students from poor economic status in the state to complete their studies up to class-12 and to reduce the drop-out rate in secondary and higher secondary schools from the Ministry of Education, Government of India. has been implemented. Examination to select the beneficiary students will be conducted by the State Examination Board, Gandhinagar soon.

The application forms for this examination have to be filled online on the website www.sebexam.org from 20/02/2024 to 28/02/2024.
Scholarship Amount and Payment Rules:

1000/- monthly Rs.1000/- Rs. per annum per month to the meritorious students in the fixed quota of district wise category wise! 12000/- will be available for the scholarship up to four years to the eligible students. (Total State Quota is 5097 students)

Payment of the scholarship amount will be made directly to the bank account of the beneficiary students by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, New Delhi after the eligible students make a fresh and renewal application on the National Scholarship Portal as per the guidelines of the Ministry of Education and the application is verified on the National Scholarship Portal by the Nodal Officer of the concerned school and the concerned district. will be deposited.

Scholarships are available as per the guidelines of the National Scholarship Portal. If someone has obtained the scholarship by submitting the document in a wrong way, then he will be held responsible.

Only the examination is conducted by the State Examination Board. Document verification is not done. The State Examination Board will not be responsible for the scholarship.
Eligibility of the student:

Students who are studying in Government Primary Schools, Local Body Schools (District Panchayat/Mahanagarpalika/Municipality School) and Granted Primary Schools in the current academic year in Class-8th will be able to take the N.M.M.S exam.

General Category and O.B.C. Category student should have secured at least 55% marks or equivalent grade in class-7. Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) student should have secured at least 50% marks or equivalent grade in Class-7.

Note:-

Students of Private Schools (Private Schools/Self Finance Schools), Kendriya Vidyalayas, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas and residential schools run by Central/State Government Institutions where accommodation, meals and study facilities are provided will not be eligible to fill the application form in this examination.

Income Limit :

The annual income of the candidate's guardian should not exceed 3,50,000/- as determined for the NMMS examination. A certified copy of the annual income statement of the parent must be attached with the application form of the student. (Example of official authorized by Govt. to be attached)

Exam Fee :

General category, EWS and OBC. The examination fee for category students will be Rs.70/-.

Ph., Sc. And ST. Examination fee for category students will be Rs.50/-.

Service charge has to be paid separately.

Fees paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.
• Syllabus:

The 90 questions of MAT Mental Aptitude Test will be of verbal and non-verbal logical reasoning. These questions will include Analogy, Classification, Numerical Series, Pattern Perception, Hidden Figure etc.

→ The 90 questions of SAT Academic Aptitude Test will cover Maths, Science and Social Science subjects of Class-7 and Class-8.
Special Note:-

The government of India has made it mandatory for the beneficiary students of National Means Come Merit Scholarship (N.M.M.S) scheme to register on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) as per Aadhaar card from the current year. In case there is a mismatch between the name of the school's U-Dice and the Aadhaar card, there is no difficulty in registering the student, so the student's U- The online form has to be filled after carefully verifying that the name of the dias is the same as the name as per the Aadhaar card.
