The resolution passed in the said reading decided to start Gnanasetu Day School in the state from the academic year 2023-24, for the implementation of which applications were received in prescribed format from self-supporting schools and aided schools interested in joining the scheme. A detailed review of these applications revealed that more than one eligible school is available in several taluks of the state. Other than one of them, the remaining schools cannot join the scheme. While in some talukas, a limited number of schools were available based on the criteria of the 10th standard results. Therefore, according to the Education Department's resolution number: SASA/1022/N.BA/192/N dated 30/01/2023, bright students from such talukas who passed the Common Entrance Test and were selected on merit were getting limited options. It is felt necessary to reconsider the President's resolution with the aim of providing better options to bright students to choose the best school as per their wish in their own district or in other districts as well.
Therefore, the bright students who have studied continuously from class 1 to 5 in a government or aided primary school in the state and have completed class 5 are self-selected according to the norms prescribed by the state government in schools affiliated to the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board or other boards operating in the state on the basis of merit. - The matter of giving scholarship to such bright students of Gujarat state to get admission in standard D in independent schools and get education till class 12 was under the consideration of the state government.
At the end of due consideration of the present matter, it is decided to implement the scheme of giving scholarships to 30,000 bright students who have completed class 5 every year for their studies from class 6 to 12 as mentioned in the preamble subject to the following conditions.
According to the resolution dated 07/06/2023 of the education department on the rank-1 read for bright students of the state of Gujarat, the bright students who have studied consecutively from class 1 to 5 in a government or aided primary school in the state and completed class 4 on the basis of merit A scheme is implemented to provide Chief Minister Gnanasetu Merit Scholarship to such bright children of the state of Gujarat who can get admission in standard 6th and get education up to standard 12th in schools affiliated to the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board or other boards operating in the state as per the norms prescribed by the state government. is placed.
Taking into consideration the huge interest of the students, for the purpose that maximum number of students get maximum choice in the choice of schools, the matter of making amendments in the resolution was under the consideration of the Government as per the proposal of the office of the Commissioner of Schools in the letter number-2 taken from the said reading.
